This four story, mixed use project included 20 market rate condominiums, 10,000 sq. ft. of commercial space, and two levels of underground parking. The project’s design addressed an unusual site configuration and strict zoning controls. This project was approved by a unanimous vote from the San Francisco planning commission.
This award winning project (two Gold Nuggets) is comprised of forty nine elderly housing units, a quarter acre park, and tenant parking, all constructed on the air rights over a Standards Brands paint store.
Damaged in the 1989 San Francisco Bay Area earthquake, this Oakland building required renovation and restoration of 50 units of affordable housing. Application of the proposed State standards (developed in Los Angeles) for non-conforming masonry structures helped save this community resource.
This historic Oakland apartment building required renovation and a full seismic upgrade of 105 units. In addition, the existing mezzanine was converted into apartments.
